Just to be clear: this book is spicy. Adults only, please.
I know I am extremely late to this train, but Josh is the ultimate book boyfriend. You can argue all you want, but I will die on this hill. My favorite quote from this book sums him up quite nicely:
“…if he pulled up next to someone and told them to get in his van, he wouldn’t even need candy to lure them.”
So in this book, we have Aly, who is a trauma nurse. She has seen it all. She can pick out those with psychotic tendencies faster than anyone. We also have Josh, who is the son of a well known serial killer. Put these two together and you get a hot, spicy mess that I would do just about anything to read for the first time again.
There’s light stalking, there’s chasing through the woods. There’s mafia. Honestly, what more can a dark romance lover ask for.
Navessa Allen writes this story beautifully. The humor throughout had me laughing out in public. (Yes, I read this out in public. I’m not ashamed of what I read.) I loved the Gilmore Girl references.
I loved this book so much and I am thoroughly excited that her next in the series, which follows Aly’s mafia cousin Junior, comes out on the 10th. I missed the preorder, so I will be waiting at Barnes & Noble on the morning of the 10th to pick up my exclusive copy. If you see me, I apologize in advance for bowling you over.
