I received an ARC copy of this book and I’m writing this honest review voluntarily.

I have never fallen into a story as fast at this one. Usually it takes me a few chapters to get into a fantasy series. I love fantasy but generally have to push myself through all the world building to get through until the story starts. Two chapters into the story and I could not read fast enough.

There was such a diverse cast of characters that each had me enthralled. I especially adore Raine and can’t wait to have more of his button-pushing antics throughout the series. I enjoyed the nature and animal interactions.

I have to say that my own disappointment in reading this book is that I now know I have to wait to learn more about this world and these characters.
